Mission statement: The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce promotes economic and community development by addressing issues important to business.

Group focusing on issues

Begun in the summer of 2006, the Young Professionals Network is providing budding business people pportunity to meet and network.

These are the goals for the group:

• Provide a voice in the community for its age group on current events and the future of our city and county.
• Attract other professionals who have just moved to our community to give them access to a network of business people and friends.
• Have educational speakers and presenters on popular topics determined by the members.
• Provide social and business networking opportunities to promote member companies and/or businesses and continue to promote the chamber as well as help all companies to connect to the chamber network.

The network is open to employees, business owners, entrepreneurs and any others interested in meeting the goals of the group who are ages 21-45. Participants need not be members of the chamber or be employed by a chamber member.

Meetings are 5:30-7 p.m. at the Chillicothe Country Club on the second Thursday of March, May, July, September, November and January. And there's no need to pre-register. You might be asked for a $5 cover charge.
