Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce
Weekly Update February 14, 2003
Happy Valentine’s Day!
JOB BANK A REAL RESOURCE: The Job Bank page of the chamber’s website is increasingly becoming a popular spot for both job seekers and those businesses looking for new employees. For businesses, one of the best parts is that this service is free. All you need to do to list an opening is get in touch with Adrienne Sims, our Workforce Development assistant, at the Workforce Investment Network office on East Second Street. Her number is 779-2946. In addition to being posted on Job Bank, your position also goes on the Jobs Board at the WIN office where many of the community’s job seekers gather for information and help. To check out Job Bank, follow this link: Job Bank.
IT’S BAB WEEK: The chamber’s next Business After Business is this coming Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. It is being sponsored by TPR Personnel and will be held at Club Rush on North Bridge Street. Also, remember that BABs are open to all employees of chamber members, not just the CEOs and managers. So let your employees know as this is the premiere networking event each month.

NEW MEMBERS: In recent weeks, we’ve added a few new members:
- DeGarmo’s Canal House Pastas, 94 E. Water St., as a second business for Sean Immell.
- Master Locksmith, Barnhart Drive
· SMR Concrete, 2851 Marietta Road
· Oak Hill Properties, 476 Renick Lane
· Joy O Java, Chillicothe Mall
NICE ADDITIONS: In case you hadn’t noticed or been downtown lately, new street signs have been added to the crossarms of the traffic signals. Now it’s easy for visitors to see exactly where they are. And it should be easier to give directions. Let’s hope the entire city gets these signs.
NEW WEB ADDRESS: Mix 93.3 has a new address on the worldwide web. Check out www.mixchillicothe.com.
