CITY TO SEEK PROPOSALS FOR STUDY: The Chillicothe Planning Commission Wednesday voted to seek proposals from professional firms which would conduct studies into the city’s planning processes and possibly update the more than 30-year-old zoning code and map. The vote came following a presentation to the group by the chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee. Chamber spokesman Tom McKell, a former member of City Council and former Planning Commission member, said it “was time to bring these up to date.” He noted that a professional planning firm once advised the commission and council on zoning changes and provided expert advice on growth in the city. The committee has been studying zoning and planning issues for more than five months.

GOOD FORECAST FOR A GREAT BAB: Even if the weather isn’t the greatest, a good time is definitely planned for the next Business After Business Wednesday at Honda Harley Suzuki on Eastern Avenue which is co-sponsored by Litter Quality Propane. Cornhole fans also will get a chance to get in some practice while scads of door prizes are given away. Make sure to sign up: BAB registration

He said a big goal is not to have to increase the premiums paid by employers. More than 60 awards were handed out with two receiving the coveted Special Award. Family Healthcare was honored for 2,439 days without a lost time accident while USEC recorded 225 days (1.4 million hours) by the end of 2005.
