It has been determined that there will be four (4) vacancies for the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. According to Bylaws, a minimum of 15 directors must be elected up to a maximum of 22 directors. For the 2003-2004 year, we operated with 19 directors.Members of the chamber's Board Development Committee are J.J. Pauls, Mike Hall, Ed Behanna, Garry Mick, Marvin Jones and Cherie French (Chairman).
Below is a form to complete to nominate a candidate (including yourself) to serve on the board. According to our Bylaws, names of potential candidates must be submitted in writing to the Board Development Chairman (Cherie French) prior to October 15, 2004. Additional candidate forms may be obtained from the Chamber office. You may make copies of the form to use.
No names will be accepted after October 15, 2004.
Chamber board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings, attend Chamber functions, participate as committee members or chairs, be ambassadors of the Chamber organization and participate in the short- and long-range strategic planning of the organization.
By November 11, the Board Development Chairman will notify Board members of the names of the candidates selected to be nominated. At the December Board meeting, using ballots, members will vote on the nominations.
