Organizations win awards More than 60 members of the Ross County Safety Council received awards on April 10, 2008 based on their records in 2007. Safety Leader's Discussion Guide Annually, the Division of Safety & Hygiene publishes the Safety Leader's Discussion Guide in cooperation with the Society of Ohio Safety Engineers (SOSE). The monthly articles are written in a style that encourages class participation and interaction and includes lists of additional resources. Monthly 2008 Discussion Guide topics include: pandemic planning, slips trips and falls, handling and storing flammable and combustible liquids, motor vehicle safety, heat stress, protecting young workers, the role of a safety committee, green construction, developing effective supervisors, the colors of safety, basic ergonomics training, and cold stress.
